  • Managed the Newfoundland & Labrador and Nova Scotia regions' project activities for CertWORK+(National Occupational Standards)-- a work-based managerial certification assessment that responds to current and projected labour market needs. CertWORK+ accreditation is based on a PLAR model that evaluates industry-determined standards for positions in manufacturing organizations. Activities leading to the successful role out of this pilot involved the organization and moderation of on site focus groups; the collaborative design of national standards alongside provincial industry counterparts; the ongoing consultation and engagement of stakeholder groups and subject matter experts; the design or vetting of all pan-national communications materials; the monitoring of regional timelines and scopes; the proficient use of a wide range of media; ad hoc and scheduled presentations to various stakeholders; monthly database management; the building of relationships through strong, continuous and transparent communications; the promotion, recruitment, training, coordination, and tracking of CertWORK+ clients; attendance and awareness sessions at career fairs and stakeholder meetings; and the delivery of monthly progress reports.

  • Responsible for managing, communicating and evaluating a $2 M pan-provincial Lean Manufacturing training initiative in Newfoundland and Nova Scotia. Currently engaging the shop floor employees of more than sixty companies in both provinces, my responsibilities included networking and organizing events with all stakeholders (post-secondary institutions, government officials, and provincial manufacturers & exporters) to identify learning needs; consulting with subject matter experts to build copy outlining the program’s syllabus of twenty+ courses, ensuring all content align with World Class Lean Manufacturing standards and CME national style guide specifications; organizing and laying out the course curriculum for the Canada Job Grant application, funders and program participants; all related proposal as well as interim and final report writing; the creation and execution of the program’s evaluations strategies; the routine promotion of the program through social media, e-blasts and press releases; the creation of the Manufactured Right Here™ newsletter; the ongoing monitoring of the projects’ timelines and activities; the scheduling and setting up all related training and events; routinely assuring transparent communication with all stakeholders.

  • With the technical support of Bluedrop Learning staff and the guidance of CME NL’s Vice President as subject matter expert, contracted by the CME and the NRC to help conceive and create storyboards –to include suggestions for all copy, images and the interactive design of the LDD & CDD-- for two engaging, interactive beginner courses in Lean Manufacturing. Once the platforms for these accredited courses, specifically “LEAN 101: The Basics” and “5S: Workplace Visual Management,” were built, tested and approved for CoursePark, I was also responsible for marketing and promoting free trial certifications to manufacturers and exporters Canada-wide.
